Translation, Subtitling and Graphics Localisation
Languages:
Brazilian Portuguese, Latin American Spanish, German, French, Hindi, Japanese and more
WWF UK approached us to provide translation, subtitling and graphics localisation for several sets of short videos that would be featured on its website and social media channels. These videos included excerpts from the “Our Planet” series on Netflix, with each one highlighting a different environmental issue. Working on batches of 5 to 10 videos each month, our team translated them mostly from English into multiple languages, including Brazilian Portuguese, Latin American Spanish, German, French, Hindi and Japanese.
Creating separate files for each language, our Creative department translated captions, signs and other text-based images that already existed within the footage.
Then our video technicians burned the subtitles into each file. Through constant collaboration between our linguists, graphic designers and engineers, our team delivered high quality, comprehensively localised results.
The subtitled videos are available to watch on WWF’s website and social platforms in several languages. You can view two of them here and here.
According to Adam Robertson, Content and Communications Supervisor of “Our Planet” at WWF: “VSI did a fantastic job, helping us to translate over a hundred short films into multiple languages and formats, and providing expert advice and guidance. These films have now received millions of views in many countries around the world and we’re extremely grateful to VSI for the part they have played in helping us reach this global audience. I would rate VSI very highly in terms of their professionalism, efficiency and excellent customer service and would not hesitate to recommend them.”
We are proud to work on these environmentally conscious films created by WWF and look forward to continuing our support of its global messaging.
