A pop culture phenomenon, Rick and Morty tells the story of Rick, a sadistic scientist, and his grandson Morty, a disturbed and easily influenced teenager. Their daily life is punctuated by interdimensional and galactic adventures, each one more eccentric than the last. Praised for its creativity, humour and originality, today, Rick and Morty is ranked among the top five series of all time by various media outlets. To immortalise this emblematic series, a trio of French YouTube celebrities were invited to give voice to a variety of zany characters appearing in season 4.

WarnerMedia didn’t recruit just any old YouTubers, but in fact three of the biggest names in France: Norman Thavaud, Jhon Rachid and Kemar! Once we had secured our talented cast, we moved on to the linguistic side of the project.

Based on our deep knowledge and appreciation of Rick and Morty, we chose dubbing translators that were highly attuned to the show’s surrealist humour, in keeping with the creative nature of the scripts. We then brought in an experienced artistic director to work alongside Norman, Jhon and Kemar, helping them to channel their inner Rick and Morty. Simply put, they nailed it. We had the honour of both producing and witnessing a hilarious day of recording, creating a French dub that will take Rick and Morty fans to yet another dimension of truly inspired hilarity.
